This upcoming festive period, Gilmerton House will be opening its doors as a warm and welcoming workspace in one of Scotland’s most cherished country homes.

Whether you live locally or are looking for a break from city life, working at Gilmerton House will provide an alternative for those seeking to balance productivity and tranquillity. Blending historical charm with modern amenities, Gilmerton House is the perfect environment for focused work and creative collaboration.

Spaces will initially be available Monday to Friday from 25th November until 20th December.

Day tickets will be available to purchase from Monday 11th November.

Key Features of Gilmerton House’s November-December Co-Working Offering:

  • Flexible Workspaces: There will be a communal work table for focused work, as well as open seating areas to accommodate various working styles. Fibre-optic WiFi runs throughout the house so whether you choose to sit at our dedicated work table or in one of our four elegant drawing rooms, you will always stay connected.

  • Seasonal Refreshments: Enjoy bottomless Hometown Coffee and other drinks and snacks, as well as a seasonal soup at lunchtime prepared daily by The Edinburgh Catering Company.

  • Screen Breaks: Guests will have private access to the estate gardens and woodland trails for refreshing walks, as well as games including billiards, table tennis, croquet, pétanque, and your own private driving range.

  • Festive Atmosphere: Embrace the season, surrounded by Christmas decorations, festive candles and roaring log fires.
